Episode 11: The Good Tidings
The Good Tidings is the last poem in Poemi Conviviali. It is divided in two parts: “In the East” and “In the West”, each narrating the advent of Christianity in Judaea and Rome, respectively. The birth of Christ marks the end of classical Antiquity and ushers in a new era for the Western world.
In this episode Elena Borelli discusses The Good Tidings with Joan Taylor. The first part “In the East” starts at minute 02.35, and the second part “In the West” starts at minute 21.46.
