Episode 09: Tiberius
Tiberius focuses on a specific moment in the life of Tiberius, who was the second emperor of Rome. When he was just a baby, his parents Claudius and Livia had to flee Rome with him due to political unrest. The figure of Livia, like many other women in Pascoli’s poetry, emerges as the true protagonist of the story.
In this episode, Elena Borelli discusses Tiberius with Francesco Galatà. The poem starts at minute 16.32.
